The Chi-Noodin Community Writers Group convened weekly at the St. Kateri Center of Chicago, from 2010 through 2013. The group was made up of Chicago Title VII participants in the Native American community who came together to write and share their experience of living in the city, and to present a modern cultural view of Native American people. During those three years the group published four magazines of narrative stories and essays, giving voice to their experiences as “urban Indians.”
