Producing and circulating participants’ writing in an artfully produced magazine or booklet is a crucial facet of the CWP. In this way, workshop writings enter the larger flow of popular art that emanates from the communities where the writers live and work. In addition, the publication affords the opportunity for the writers’ stories to become part of the public discussion about issues that matter to them.
For 15 years the CWP has published Real Conditions magazines. In addition, some community partners publish magazines with distinct titles that express the unique qualities and visions of their writing groups. All magazines are distributed at no cost within and beyond the writers’ communities. In order to extend the reach of the magazines, we are slowly posting them in pdf. format on the website. We appreciate your patience as we expand the online library of CWP magazines.
